The green landscape viewing a mountain from downtown is one of important image factors of a city, and it is worth being conserved. In this paper, we perform a landscape analysis to conserve and improve the green landscape of Apsan in Daegu. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the viewshed analysis using ArcGIS program shows that one of the landscape characteristics of Apsan is to be able to view 3 peaks and mountain ridges, the areas that can be viewed most frequently from downtown. Therefore, these areas should be kept more actively than others. Second, the reverse direction viewshed analysis results in dividing the whole viewing area into 3 regions according to its importance. This fact can be widely utilized for the panning of green landscape. Third, we select the 10 representative view-points that can view 3 peaks and mountain ridges of Apsan, and review points at issue and propose improvements for better green landscape by comparing photographs and perspectives of these 10 viewpoints.
