대구와 경북 지역 다문화청소년과 일반청소년의 국민정체성 비교 연구
A comparative study on the national identity of multicultural adolescents and general adolescents living in Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions

This study analyzed the national identity for Daegu's and Gyeongbuk's multicultural adolescents and general adolescents(below, MA and GA), focusing on the differences between MA and GA. We used cross-regional survey data from Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions. The collected data were analyzed by the factor analysis and t-test. The results are as follows. The national identity was examined from the points of such view as the qualification of nationhood, national attachment and national pride. In the qualification of nationhood, GA was higher in some items than MA. Those of the items were ‘To be born in Republic of Korea(below, ROK)’, ‘To maintain the ROK nationality’, To conform to the political institutions and laws of ROK’, ‘To understand the history of ROK and follow the Korean traditions and customs’, ‘To contribute to development of ROK’, and ‘To think of themselves as the citizens of ROK’. In national attachment, MA was higher in all items than GA. Those were ‘I am proud of being a citizen of ROK’, ‘ROK is generally a better country than other countries’, ‘I will support ROK even though it commit a fault’, and ‘World will become a better world if the citizens of the other countries be like those of ROK’. In national pride, GA was higher in some items than MA. Those of the items were ‘Development of Democracy’, ‘Economic Development’, ‘Level of Social Welfare System’, ‘Development of Science and Technology’, ‘Military Power’, ‘History’, and ‘Social Justice and Equality’.
