문화도시 프로그램은 지역의 지속가능성을 확보하기 위한 사업으로서 문화예술 활동과 주민 참여를 중심으로 하는 프로그램을 시행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 문화도시 프로그램이 지역주민의 행복에 미치는 영향을 탐색해 보고, 기존의 행복 논의에서 중요 요소였던 소득의 영향력이 문화도시 프로그램을 통해 조절되는 정도를 살펴봄으로써 문화도시 프로그램의 의미를 도출하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 문화도시 프로그램에 참여한 집단은 미참여한 집단에 비해 삶의 만족도가 높게 나타나는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 문화도시 프로그램은 고소득층보다는 중위소득 이하 주민의 행복에 더 많은 영향을 미치고 있으며 이를 통해 문화도시 프로그램이 지역주민의 행복에 미치는 소득의 효과에 개입할 수 있으며, 지역의 지속가능성과 지역회복력 증진에 기여할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
Abstract
The Cultural City project is a project that secures regional sustainability and promotes programs centered on cultural activities and resident participation. This study explores the impact of the cultural city program on the happiness of local residents and seeks to derive the significance of the cultural city project by examining the degree of influence of income on happiness and the intervention and moderating effects of the cultural city program. As a result, the group that participated in the cultural city program tended to have higher life satisfaction than the group that did not. In particular, we confirmed that the cultural city program has a greater impact on the well-being of middle- and low-income residents than that of high-income residents, and that the cultural city program can contribute to improving community well-being and regional resilience.
