Abstract

16th Century Korean Inflected Form Dictionary is a kind of a collection of inflected forms of substantive and predicate. The purpose of this article is to understand the compilation background and composition of 16th Century Korean Inflected Form Dictionary. In addition, we briefly examined examples that could confirm changes in the tone and differences in Yeoncheol(sound based spelling), Jungcheol(double Spelling), Buncheol(separating spelling) to find ways to use this dictionary. The main point of this dictionary is that it contains the tone information that has been omitted from the existing dictionaries. However, since the 16th century is the time when the tones begin to collapse, and there may be differences in the way tones are realized depending on the literature, when reviewing tones using this dictionary, it is necessary to precede the understanding of the region and period in which the literature was published.
