This paper aims to argue that the feature of so-called onomatopoeic and mimetic predicate, which is derived from a related adverb, has to be accurately reflected when it is dealt with in Korean-Korean dictionary and to suggest how that feature is expressed in terms of lexicographical treatment. The method suggested in this paper is two kinds. One is involved in determining an word class, that is, whether a derived predicate is a verb or an adjective. While it is a basic principle that a verb is from an [＋active] adverb and an adjective is from a [＋stative] adverb, there are some adverbs which can be both verbs and adjectives, therefore these adverbs and their derivatives need to be dealt carefully. The other is involved in describing some features of onomatopoeic and mimetic verbs. They tend to have restrictive thematic roles and frequent dual use between an intransitive verb and a transitive verb. To show these characteristics, it is necessary to describe thematic roles in detail and meanings deliberately considering dual use.
