산업내 무역패턴의 실질적 무역 성장 기여에 관한 연구

본 논문은 측정에 의한 분석방법을 보완, 유형별 산업내 무역패턴과 실질적 무역 성장과의 연구를 통해, 실질적으로는 산업내 무역의 무역 성장 제고 효과가 완화되거나 산업간 무역의 효과와 역전될 수 있다는 가설을 분석한 연구이다. 분석 결과 권역별, 국가별, 개별 산업별로 실질적 양 패턴의 기여도 격차는 많이 완화, 혹은 역전되고 있었다. 특히, 중국에 대해서는 산업전체 차원에서 역전이 발생, 실질적 무역 성장에 산업간 무역패턴의 증가가 더 기여한 것으로 나타났고 수직적 산업내 무역 차원에서 고품질 수직적 산업내 무역의 성장 주도가 아울러 확인되었다. 동 분석은 한국의 무역에 있어 각 유형별 산업내 무역패턴이 총무역 성장에 미치는 실질적 역할을 포착하였다는 데 주요한 의의를 갖는다. 한편으로는 단순히 특정시점에서의 산업내 무역패턴이나 산업간 무역패턴의 비중을 기간에 걸쳐 비교할 때 발생할 수 있는 각 산업내 무역패턴의 중요도 측정에 대한 해석상의 오류 내재 가능성을 보완할 수 있는 장치로서의 의미도 갖는다. 또한 이론적, 정책적 측면에 비추어 볼 때, 무역 확대에 의한 후생 증진 차원에서 무역조정비용(trade adjustment costs), 자원재분배비용(resource re-allocation costs) 문제와 관련되어 산업내 무역의 역할이 좀 더 신중하게 해석될 필요성도 내포한다.
Abstract
This study analyzes hypothesis that insists improving effect of intra-industry trade for trade growth can be mitigated or reversed. In study, contribution gaps between inter-industry and intra-industry by region, country and each industry is being much mitigated or reversed practically. Especially, reversion occurred for China in overall industry dimension. It means that increasing of inter-industry trade pattern contribute to trade growth practically. Also, in case of vertical intra-industry trade case, growth leading of high quality intra-industry confirmed. This analysis has important meaning in point of capturing the practical role that intra-industry trade patterns by its type affects total trade growth. In addition, this analysis has also meaning as a device that can prevent potential error in analysis about contribution measure of intra-industry patterns which can take place when the study simply compares using the specific points of time. And this analysis suggests a necessity that role of intra-industry trade should be more carefully analyzed in the viewpoint of welfare promotion by trade expansion related to trade adjustment costs or resource re-allocation costs problems.
