Abstract

This study attempts to empirically analyze the effects of social capital and absorptive capacity on technology commercialization performance in the Korean technology-based firms. In addition, technology-based firms might be experiences in environmental change, so confirmed about the moderator variable of technological turbulence on positive relationship of absorptive capacity and technology commercialization performance. And controlled for company's size, industry type as follows. The empirical results from a sample of 105 the chief, CEO, research institute director of Korean technology-based firms reveal several important findings and used analysis instrument as PLS-SEM. We obtain the following results. First, social capital and absorptive capacity have a positive effect on technology commercialization performance. Second, when technology-based firms experiencing technological turbulence, on positive relationship of potential absorptive capacity better than realized absorptive capacity and technology commercialization performance. The two absorptive capacity are complementary, not alternative. These results show that efforts are needed To improve the performance of technology commercialization, two complementary strategies are necessary.
