지역혁신시스템과 기업가정신에 관한 실증적 연구

초록

기업가정신은 지역혁신시스템 안에서 혁신활동으로 새로운 가치를 창출하며 지역사회가 계속해서 성장할 수 있는 원동력으로써 그 중요성이 지속해서 높아지고 있다. 이러한 배경에서 지역혁신시스템과 기업가정신의 관계를 살펴보고자 하는 연구는 경제학․경제지리학․클러스터와혁신시스템 이론 등 다양한 학문적 관점에서 시도되어 왔다. 하지만, 지역혁신시스템의 여러 구성요소가 기업가정신에 기여하는 바는 상이한 연구 대상과 수준 등의 이유로 심도 있게 논의되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 선행연구를 바탕으로 지역혁신시스템의 상․하부구조가 기업가정신에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 가설을 실증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 ‘2018년 지역과학기술역량평가 보고서’ 와 통계청 자료를 바탕으로 균형패널 데이터를 구축하였다. 데이터는 종적으로는 2008년부터 2017년까지 10개 년도의 기간을, 횡적으로는 16개 광역자치단체를 포함한다. 분석에는GLS 패널 모형 분석방법을 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 지역혁신시스템의 상․하부구조가 기업가정신에 긍정적 영향을 주는 것을 확인할수 있었으며 함께 살펴본 경제적 요인의 경우 경기불황가설을 지지하는 연구 결과를 보였다. 본 연구의 실증분석으로 지역혁신시스템과 기업가정신의 관계를 더욱 총체적이고 일반적인관점에서 이해할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

Abstract

This research examine to investigate the relationship between regional innovation system and entrepreneurship. Data were collected from ‘the 2018 regional science and technology ability evaluation report’ balanced panel data was structured. The data covers the period from 2008 to 2017 and includes 16 metropolitan municipalities in the region. A GLS(Generalized Least Squares) panel model analysis method was used to test hypotheses. Empirical results show that the regional innovation system appears to have positive impact on entrepreneurship. It supports the economic recession hypothesis. This research contribute to deeper understanding of relationship between regional innovation system and entrepreneurship from a more holistic and general point of view.
