도연명의 시화(詩化)된 철학과 유머 미학

도연명은 ‘유머의 미적 형식’으로써 ‘인간과 가치에 대한 철학적 사고’를 현실의 삶에 유입시킴으로써, 인간을 자기 극복이 가능한 숭고한 존재로 고양시켜 ‘중국 시’를 차원 높은 경지로 끌어올렸다. 도연명의 유머 시는 위진 시기 서족(庶族) 출신 사인이자 은자의 신분에서정신적 가치보다 물질적 가치를 중시하는 세태, 문벌귀족이 관직을 세습하는 관행, 한문(寒門) 출신 지식인이 은거를 선택하는 사회 구조, 인간의 생사 이치에 대한 무지(無智)의 문제를 냉철하게 인식하고, 이러한 시대와 세태의 현상을 통속적 주제와 가치철학(價値哲學)으로시화(詩化)함으로써, 물질적 가치와 정신적 가치는 전도될 수 있고, 우열의 가치 판단은 상대적이며, 생과 사의 가치는 무차별함을 각성하게 한다. 도연명의 자각적인 유희와 각성의 작가정신에서 출발한 시화된 철학과 시적 유머는, 위진 시기 통속(通俗), 시사(時事), 해학(諧謔)의시 창작이 유행하고 노장사상(老莊思想)이 성행한 문학과 사상 발전의 역사적인 추세에서 창출된 것으로, 당시 화미한 문풍과 현언 문학에 대한 반성적 차원의 글쓰기이면서, 위진 시기은사의 인간의 만족과 화해와 행복에 대한 고도의 정신 철학을 보여준다. 도연명의 ‘시화된철학과 유머’는, ‘중국 시’가 불완전하고 모순적인 인간의 비극성을 웃음과 희극성을 유발하는 것 이상의 숭고의 차원으로 상승시킨 수준 높은 미학의 범위에 있음을 보여준다.
Abstract
Tao Yuanming had raised chinese poetry to a higher level by combining ‘the philosophicalthought of man and value as a system of poetry’ with ‘the aesthetic form of humor’ in thehistorical trend of literary development, where popular, sociological and humorous poetry creationwas prevalent in the age of the Wei and Jin dynasties. Tao Yuanming as scholar from a concubine line of the family and also hermit was cognizantof the problems which are the social conditions to appreciate material values, the practice ofcivilized aristocracy, the unreasonable social structure in which intellectuals from poor householdschose to live a secluded life, and ignorance of human life and death. and then he make us realizethat material values and mental values can be evangelized, superior value judgments be relative,and the value of life and death is indifferent by poeticizing these problems of the age and thesocial conditions as philosophy of value. Tao Yuanming’s poeticized philosophy and poetic humorcreated in the awareness of amusement and awakening is a reflective level of writing aboutmainstream poetry at the time and also shows the high mental philosophy pursued by intellectualsand hermits in the age of the Wei and Jin dynasties. Through Chinese poetry, Tao Yuanming’s philosophical humor shows that it is in the range ofa high level of aesthetics elevated to the level of sublime more than inducing laughter and comicwith the tragedy of imperfect and contradictory human life.
