강유위의 托古改制 고찰 – 강유위의 春秋論과 《孔子改制考》를 중심으로

강유위는 근대 지식인 겸 금문 경학가이다. 그는 근대 지식인으로서 당시의 사회를 구제하기 위해 《孔子改制考》를 발표한다. 이 글을 통하여 그는 공자가 獨聖으로서 직접 改制를 하였다고 주장한다. 이 주장을 논증하기 위해서 강유위는 기존 금문 경학의 주요 개념을 재해석한다. 이는 당시 지식인에게 새로운 정치적 행동으로서 改制를 촉구하는 주장으로 발전한다. 강유위의 《孔子改制考》는 그의 금문 경학적 춘추론을 이해하는 텍스트로 활용되며, 동시에 그의 정치적 주장을 이해하는 텍스트로 활용되기도 한다. 본고에서는 이러한 텍스트의 속성에 근거하여 그의 춘추론과 《공자개제고》를 함께 읽는다. 이를 통해, 전통 경학 사상을 근대 사상으로 변모되는 과정을 살펴본다.
Abstract
Kang You-wei is a modern intellectual and scholar Current Texts Confucianism. As a modern intellectual, he published KongziGaizhikao as a remedy to saving the society of the time. Through this book, he argues that Confucius practiced Gaizhi as the sole saint. To demonstrate this argument, Kang You-wei reinterpreted the core concept of Current Texts Confucianism. In addition, the new understanding of Current Texts Confucianism’s core concept is lead to the argument that urges intellectuals to conduct Gaizhi as a new political action. Kang You-wei’s KongziGaizhikao is used as a text to understand his theory of Chunqiu, and at the same time as a text to understand his political argument Gaizhi. Based on the characteristic of this text, I read his understanding of Chunqiu and Autumn and KongziGaizhikao together. Through this work, hope to examine the process of transforming traditional Confucianism thought into modern thought.
