조선 후기 양명학과 성호학파 비교 연구 - 정제두, 이병휴, 신후담의 『대학』관을 중심으로 -

Abstract

The 『Daehak(大學)』, which was regarded as a representative scripture of Neo-Confucianism, was originally only one of the 『YeigI(禮記)』 arts. Zhu Xi, who thought that there was a writing in the 『Daehak(大學)』, reconstructed the sentence that was judged to be the full text in the order of the head, and added 134 characters to the part that was judged to have a writing to complete the 『Daehakjanggu』. However, this was the subject of continuous controversy among later scholars, and in the late Joseon Dynasty, Jeong Je-du, Lee Byung-hoo, and Shin Hudam thought that the loyalty of the 『Daehak(大學)』could be sufficiently explained by the true form of the 『Daehak(大學)』. For this reason, they wrote the 『Daehak(大學)』, the 『DaehakSimhea』, and the 『DaehakHuseol 』, respectively, based on the 『Gobondaehak(古本大學)』. In this study, we will look at the writings of each scholar sequentially, focusing on the discussion of the university’s work revealed in their writings, the basis for choosing the 『Daehak(大學)』, the makeup format of the first chapter[首章] of the 『Gobondaehak(』, and the conceptual understanding of Three Cardinal Guides and Eight Paragons of Virtue(三綱領, 八條目).
