Abstract

Photography of digital era is the completely new image. It couldn’t be able to interpret into the same aesthetics of silver halide photography. In a way of the production and transmission system of digital image has been completely transformed into the notion of digital system from which the computer and Internet. In order to analyze aesthetic values of presenting the digital image that representing freely to modify the images that having an open structure as the nature of de-materiality. Because of these they could easily transcend time and space. And also it could be able to involve any of the artists’ own mind. It makes dismantle the whole characters of the material. The signal system make to re-materialize with transmitting the wave. Since the coded image from the original transferred to the computer, digital image is not a replication of material but it is a symbolic replication. Thus digital copies can be mixed with other digital reproductions, if you want to change a user may wear the clothes of the material combined with new material again. The enigmatic presence of the characteristics of digital copies at this point lies. In this paper, as the analyze the characteristics of digital images that Roland Barthes construed as an accidental incident that happens unintentionally between the subjective feelings of the picture and the viewer mentioned ‘punctum’ notion was to interpreted in conjunction with ‘Mu(無)’ concept in the creation of the Lao-tzu standpoint of the eastern philosophy. In other words, silver halide images were rigid solid images that faithful to archival capabilities could not involved the artists’ own mind directly, but de-materialized digital image with the open structure of the numerical value system is a liquid such as water that make intervene the artist’s own mind directly through the free operation and transfiguration. It is the image that to generate endless and repeated creation and extinction.
