Abstract

This research has been looked the current circumstance of cultivation of the experts in Korean traditional music and the right way of its policy. Therefore, there are given some suggestions for reflecting these to show right educational method. As a result, first of all, this has been looked into the current condition of cultivation of the experts in Korean traditional music. The number of universities which have a program that is related with Korean traditional music is 26, the number of professor who are Korean traditional music major is 127. Therefore, people can see that each university has professors in overall 4.88. Studying subjects are mainly based on practice and theory. New studying subjects, however, are adding at recently; criticism of Korean traditional music, computer music, teaching method of Korean traditional music. By utilizing these policies, it is suggested some ideas; need to establish identity of university, creating new major concentration certification and making strengthen secondary subject system, curriculum which is connected to master degree curriculum, a flexible managing of lesson method, completed major concentration of certificate and managing in different subjects of curriculum to cultivate expert in Korean traditional performing arts. The chart below presents the education model of university to cultivate expert in Korean traditional performing arts. By utilizing these policies plan, it is suggested the educational model of university to cultivate experts in Korean traditional music; in different major subjects of curriculum, organization of curriculum and different subjects of assignment, managing method of curriculum. I hope that this study might help cultivation of the experts in Korean traditional music. Moreover, I am going to leave the details of its curriculum and its subjects researching for the next studies.
