유아교사의 행복과 역할수행능력과의 관계

본 연구는 유아교사의 행복과 역할수행능력과의 관련성을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 부산, 경남 지역의 유아교육기관 유아교사 및 원장을 대상으로 유아교사의 행복과 역할수행능력에 관해 설문한 설문지 각 526부와 235부를 분석하였다. 유아교사의 행복은 Hills와 Argle'(2002)의 옥스퍼드 행복질문지와 Ryff(1989)가 개발한 심리적 안녕감 척도를 사용하였으며 유아교사의 자기평가 및 원장평가 역할수행능력 측정을 위해 Saracho (1997)가 개발한 ECTRRS를 사용하였다. 결과분석은 SPSS 17.0 프로그램을 사용하여 상관 및 회귀분석, 차이검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 유아교사의 행복과 교사의 자기평가 역할수행능력과는 유의미한 관계가 있었으며, 행복의 하위요인인 환경통제력, 자아수용, 삶의 목적이 역할수행능력을 설명하는데 영향력이 높았다. 유아교사의 행복은 원장이 평가한 교사의 역할수행능력과도 유의미한 관계가 있었으며 특히 행복의 하위요인인 환경통제력이 설명력이 높았다. 반면 행복의 하위요인인 자율성과 원장평가 역할수행능력과는 관련이 없는 것으로 나타나 문화적 특수성에 대한 해석이 요구되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 행복 정도가 직무 성과에도 관련이 높다는 긍정심리학자들의 주장을 지지하며 최근 유아교사의 교직만족 및 행복연구에 의미 있는 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study intended to examine the relationship between happiness of early childhood teachers and capability to serve as a teacher. This study surveyed happiness, capability to serve as teacher of 514 early childhood teachers, and opinions of 235 principals about the teacher's capability to perform their role in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan and Gyeongnam. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 and detailed data process methods are correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, stepwise multiple regression analysis, and F-test. The following is the results of this study. First, there was significant relationship between happiness and capability to serve and the sub-factors of happiness and those of satisfaction with capability to serve as teacher also had significant relationship. Second, happiness had signification relations with teacher's capability to perform their role from the perspective of principals.
