한 어린이집 교사들의 3년간 실행연구 순환을 통한 포트폴리오 평가의 실천과 반성

본 연구의 목적은 한 어린이집 교사들이 3년간의 실행연구를 통하여 포트폴리오 평가를어떻게 실천해 가는지, 그리고 이 과정에서 반성적 사고를 통해 실천지가 어떻게 변화되어가는지를 기술하는 데 있다. 연구기간에 걸쳐 세 번의 실행연구 순환이 이루어지면서 유아관찰 및 평가에 대한 문제인식에 기초하여 포트폴리오 평가의 틀 마련하기, 부모와의 소통 및참여 촉진하기, 그리고 다시 평가의 틀을 깨고 교사의 철학과 교실 특성을 반영한 평가 양식및 절차 개발하기의 순환적 과정이 이루어졌다. 실행연구에 참여한 교사들은 포트폴리오 평가의 참된 의미를 구성하고, 권한을 공유하고 협력하며, 책무성과 자율성 속에서 실천지를쌓아가는 점진적 변화를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 실행연구를 통해 체계적이고 의미 있는유아평가를 만들어가는 교사의 능동적 실천과 반성적 사고의 중요성을 제안한다.
Abstract
This study examines the portfolio assessment practices of teachers in a child care center engaged in 3 yearlong action research cycles and describes the consequent process of reflection and change to their portfolio assessment practice. Three action research cycles focused on establishing more systematic portfolio assessment practices based on critical examination of problems related with previous observation and assessment practices, engaging parents in the portfolio assessment process, and reinventing assessment forms and procedures that resonate with their own pedagogical philosophy and classroom dynamics. The participating teachers showed gradual change in their beliefs and practices in the process of constructing true meaning via portfolio assessment, sharing power with parents and children, and accumulating practice knowledge with accountability and autonomy. The findings suggest the importance of teachers’ willful experimentation and reflection, assisted by action research.
