누리과정교사용지도서에 수록된 동화의 영성요소 분석

본 연구는 3-5세의 누리과정교사용지도서에 수록된 동화에 영성요소를 담고 있는 동화의 빈도와 분포를 분석하기 위해 실시되었다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 총 123편의 동화를 대상으로 영성요소를 분석하여 분석자간 신뢰도 Cohen Kappa 계수는 .80으로 나타났으며 총123편의 동화 중에서 영성요소를 내포하고 있는 동화는 86편(70%)이었고 3세(27편), 4세(28편), 5세(31편)이었다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 누리과정교사용지도서에 수록되어 있는 많은 동화에 영적요소가 포함되어 있으며 이것은 유아기의 영성교육 자료로 사용될 수 있음을 시사한다. 둘째, 영성요소는 큰 범주로 볼 때 평화, 숭상, 사랑, 직관, 생명의 순서로 높은 빈도를 보였다. 4개 요소의 빈도에는 유의한 차이가 없었지만, 건강 및 에너지를 포함한 마지막 요인의 빈도는 매우 낮았다. 또한 생명영역의 하위 요소인 겸손은 86편의 동화 중 1개만 발견되었다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과에 대해 논의하고 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of the present study is to examine the number and proportion of fairy tales that contain spiritual elements in the guiding materials for the Nuri curriculum for 3 to 5-years-old. A total of 123 fairy tales was selected for analysis. The interrater agreement (Cohen’s Kappa) was .80. The main results of the analysis are as follows. First, we found that 86 of the 123 fairy tales(70%) in the curriculum have spiritual elements 27, 28 & 31 for ages 3, 4 & 5 respectively. This result shows that many fairy tales in the instructional guide for the Nuri curriculum included spiritual elements, which suggests that the fairy tales can be used as spiritual education material for children in early childhood education settings. Second, spiritual factors showed in high frequency were peace, reverence, love, intuition, and life in order. There were no significance differences in the frequency of the first four 4 factors but the frequency of the last one including health and energy was very low. Also, modesty as a subscale of the reverence area, was reflected in one of the 86 fairy tales. We discussed the results and offered suggestions for further research.
