유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육불안 측정도구 표준화 연구

초록

본 연구는 양육불안 측정도구(KPAS)를 표준화하는데 목적이 있다. 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 1,160명을 규준집단으로 신뢰도(내적합치도, 검사-재검사)와 타당도(구인타당도, 수렴타당도, 판별타당도, 공인타당도)를 검증하고 규준을 마련하였다. 연구결과 양육불안 전체 내적합치도는 .96으로 높게 나타났으며, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 .65∼.86로 나타났다. 타당도는 확인적 요인분석을 통해 구인타당도를 확보하고, 하위요인 간 유의한 상관관계를 보여 수렴타당도를 확보하였으며, 각 하위요인 간 구별되는 개념인 판별타당도를 확인하였고, 양육스트레스 및 상태-특질불안 측정 도구와의 공인 타당도를 검증하였다. 또한 본 도구의 하위요인별 표준점수를 산출하여 임상적으로 의미 있는 기준점수를 제시하였다. 본 측정도구는 양육불안의 다면적 요인들의 수준을 파악함으로써 부모상담에 효과적으로 활용할 수 있으며, 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육불안 관련 연구에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

This study aims to standardize the Korean Parenting Anxiety Scale (KPAS). The norm group was a nationwide sample of 1,160 mothers raising young children. The reliability (internal consistency and test-retest) and validity (construct validity, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and concurrent validity) were examined. In addition, norms were established to provide a basis for evaluating parenting anxiety. The findings showed that the internal consistency of parenting anxiety was high at .96 and test-retest reliability was at .65 .86. Construct validity was ensured through a confirmatory factor analysis; convergent validity was established through a significant correlation among sub-factors; and discriminant validity was confirmed between the distinct concepts in the sub-factors. Concurrent validity test demonstrated KPAS features similar to previously established measuring instruments, but is still distinct from them. This study also presents the level of clinical significance by calculating the standard scores for each sub-factor in the measuring instrument. Collectively, these findings will provide a reliable and valid instrument to measure parenting anxiety and can be used as basic data for future research endeavors on parenting anxiety among mothers with young children as well as effective parenting counseling by understanding the multi-dimensional factors of parenting anxiety.
