본 연구는 아버지의 성역할 가치관이 아버지 역할수행에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 출산계획과 정서적 자녀가치의 매개효과를 분석하기 위해 진행되었다. 연구는 전국 8개 권역에 거주하는 미취학 자녀를 둔 아버지를 대상으로 실시되었고, 총 1,045부의 응답을 수집하였으나 994부의 자료를 연구에 활용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 29.0을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 양성평등한 성역할 가치관을 확립한 아버지일수록 높은 수준의 아버지 역할수행을 보였고, 이 과정에서 배우자와 함께 출산계획을 구체적으로 의논하고 높은 정서적 자녀가치를 보임으로써 이중매개효과를 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 미취학 자녀를 둔 아버지의 부모역할 실천을 도모할 수 있는 요인으로 성역할 가치관, 출산계획, 정서적 자녀가치의 존재를 확인하고, 아버지 역할수행의 폭넓은 스펙트럼을 위한 구체적 경로를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the impact of fathers’ gender role values on their father role practices and to analyze whether there is a mediating effect of birth planning and emotional valuations of children. The research examined fathers with preschool children in eight regions across the country, collecting a total of 1,045 responses; From these, 994 responses were utilized for the study. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 29.0. The results indicated that fathers who established gender-equitable role values demonstrated a higher level of parenting role practice. Additionally, it was confirmed that discussing birth plans in detail with their partners and showing high emotional value of children revealed a dual mediating effect. These findings highlight the existence of gender role values, birth planning, and emotional value of children as factors that can promote the parenting practices of fathers with preschool children, providing a concrete pathway to broaden the spectrum of fathering roles.
