학교중심 블렌디드 학습이 학업성취도와 자기주도적 학습태도에 미치는 효과
The effect of school-based Blended Learning Program on middle school student's academic achievement and self-directed learning attitude

학생들은 학교의 정규적인 수업이후에도 다양한 방법으로 학습을 지속적으로 이행하고 있다. 이것의 대부분은 공교육기관 보다는 사교육기관 등을 통해 이루어지고 있는데, 실로 이에 대한 폐해는 엄청나다. 본 연구는 바로 사교육을 줄이고 학교교육을 정상화할 수 있는 길을 모색하는 방안의 하나로 정규학교교육과 연계한 블렌디드 학습의 교육적 효과를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 서울 강남과 동작지역 세 학교의 학생 376명과 네 명의 교사의 도움을 얻어 실험연구를 실시하였다. 연구기간은 2009년 8월부터 11월 말까지 약 네 달에 걸쳐 실시되었으며, 이 가운데 실험에 투입된 기간은 9월 초부터 10월 중순까지 약 10주 정도였다. 이에 대한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 학업성취도 차이검증에서는 수학과 영어 모든 교과에서 블렌디드 수업의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 타 교과의 전이효과에서도 유의미한 차이(p<.05 이하)가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 두 실험집단간 차이검증에서도 수학에서는 오프라인 블렌디드 학습방식이, 영어에서는 온라인 블렌디드 학습이 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 자기주도학습 태도에 대한 차이검증에서는 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 학습개념, 솔선수범에서는 p<.05이하의 수준에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 책임감, 학습애착, 미래지향성, 창의성 면에서는 p<.01이하에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 두 실험집단간 차이검증에서 개방성 요인은 온라인 방식의 블렌디드 학습이 효과가 있었고, 책임감, 학습애착, 미래지향성, 자기평가력에 대해서는 오프라인 방식이 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지금까지의 결과를 감안할 때, 블렌디드 학습은 학습자의 학력신장이나 자기주도 학습력 신장에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났으며, 어떤 과목이냐에 따라 오프라인과 온라인을 선별해야 할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 자기주도학습 태도면에서도 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 온라인 방식에 비해 오프라인 방식이 더 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났기 때문에 학교에서 이를 반영한 학습프로그램을 도입하여 운영하는 것이 필요하다고 본다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of the school-based blended learning as the normalization of public education and private education relief. For this purpose, we conducted experimental study participating Gang-Nam and Dong-Jak region's three middle school 376 students and four teachers. The period of the study is four months from August to November, 2008 and the experimental period is 10 weeks from the beginning of September to the middle of the October. The conclusion of this study is followed. There is a meaningful difference in Math and English Academic achievement and transfer effect(p<.05). And offline blended learning is more effective in Math, online blended learning is more effective in English. Experimental group is more effective than control group in self-regulated learning attitude(p<.05) and learning concept and initiative(p<.01). In open mind factor, online blended learning is more effective and in learning addiction, future orientation, self assessment offline blended learning is more effective. As a conclusion, blended learning is effective in learner's achievement development and self-regulated learning. But we should apply online or offline blended learning according to academic domain. Also, offline blended learning is more effective than online blended learning in self-regulated learning. So we need to operate related learning program.
