피히테 후기 철학에서 생과 지식의 관계

이 글은 피히테의 후기 철학, 특히 학론에서 생과 지식의 관계를 존재론적으로 고찰하는 데 있다. 이러한 점에서 피히테에게 있어 생과 지식의 문제는 사실상 그의 후기 철학 전체를 관통한다. 더 나아가 생과 지식의 관계는 첫째 근본적으로 자아존재론과 절대적 자아의 관계를 절대자로서 상정함으로써 출발한다. 둘째, 비록 지식에 대한 자기반성으로서 생 개념이 존재와 지식의 종합으로서 절대지에 대한 개념적 이해를 통해 설명되더라도, 생 개념의 불확실성은 여전히 남는다. 셋째, 그와 같은 생의 불확실성은 현실적 생과 절대지의 종합을 위한 가능성으로서 신앙과 지식, 신적 생으로서의 개체성의 의미에서 신앙을 통해 해명될 수 있다. 그런데 여기에서 중요한 것은 피히테가 생과 지식의 문제를 근본적으로 해결하려고 했지만 난관에 봉착하고 만다는 데 있다. 그것은 의식의 종합으로서의 절대지가 현실적 생을 파악하지 못했기 때문이다. 결국 이 문제에 대한 피히테적 해결은 생과 지식의 문제를 신앙과 지식의 연관성을 통해, 지식보다 신앙에 우위를 둠으로써 현실적 생으로부터 신에 의한 생으로 고양함으로써 성립한다.

Abstract

This article aims to ontologically examine the relationship between life and knowledge in the post-Fichte philosophy, especially regarding the science of knowledge. In this respect, for Fichte, the question of life and knowledge is present in nearly all his later philosophy. Furthermore, the relationship between life and knowledge begins by supposing the relationship between the ontology of self(I) and the absolute self(I) as an absolute. Second, although the concept of life as a self-reflection on knowledge is explained through the conceptual understanding of the absolute as a synthesis of being and knowledge, the uncertainty of the concept of life remains. Third, such uncertainty in life can be elucidated through belief in the sense of individuality as belief, knowledge, and divine life as a possibility for the synthesis of real life and absolute knowledge. However, Fichte was attempting to fundamentally solve the problem of life and knowledge, but he encountered difficulties because, as a synthesis of consciousness, the absolute knowledge did not grasp real life. Ultimately, the Fichte's solution to this problem is established by elevating the problem of life and knowledge from real life to the life of God by putting belief above knowledge through the connection between belief and knowledge.
