이 연구의 목적은 2000년 교회 역사 속에서 신학 교육의 역사를 간략히 살펴본 후, 오늘날 신학 교육에 없어서는 안 될 세 가지 필수적인 요소를 제안하는 것이다. 연구 방법으로는 먼저 신학 교육에 대한 교회사적 접근을 시도했고, 인격적 계발의 요소들에 대해서는 성경신학적, 주제별 접근을 시도했다. 신학 교육의 역사는 인격 형성, 사역 훈련, 신학 지식이 이의 구심점이란 사실을 발견했다. 현시대의 베를린 모델은 신학의 전문성과 독창성을 너무 강조한 나머지 인격 형성이나 사역 훈련을 소홀히 하고 있음을 발견했다. 이를 보완하기 위해서 인격 형성과 사역 훈련에 강점을 지닌 제자훈련 모델에서 배워야 한다고 강조했다. 본 연구의 기여는 인격 형성을 위해 영성, 덕성, 지혜, 사역의 능력, 비전 등 다섯 가지 영역에 있어서 성경 주제별 접근으로 훈련 영역을 구체화한 데 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to briefly examine the history of theological education over the past 2,000 years of church history and to propose three essential elements for modern theological education. As a research method, we first adopted a church-historical approach to theological education, and then pursued a biblical-theological and thematic approach concerning character formation elements. We discovered that the history of theological education centers on character formation, ministry training, and theological knowledge. The Berlin model, prevalent in our times, has so emphasized expertise and originality in theological education that it often neglects character formation and ministry training. These shortcomings can be addressed by drawing insights from the disciple training model, which excels in both character formation and ministry training. The contribution of this study lies in detailing training domains using a biblical thematic approach, covering spirituality, virtue, wisdom, ministry skills, and vision as pillars of character formation.
