Lately, various applied music ensemble classes have been operated at club activity classs or as after-school activities as per students' increasing demands. In addition, such youth training institutions as youth training centers operate some applied music support programs for students' applied music concert groups. The purpose of this study was to analyze the conditions of the applied music education programs for middle and high school students. For this purpose, the researcher conducted a questionnaire survey for the teachers in charge of applied music education and their students, while interviewing the staff of the youth training institutions in charge of youth applied music education programs. The results of this study suggest that it would be necessary to expand the applied music education programs, while systematically supporting teachers, programs, equipments and constructing some supporting systems.
