이 연구는 대학에서 수학 중인 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들의 서술형 시험 답안 작성 능력을 파악하고 이를 개선하기 위한 교육 방향을 논의하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들에게는 대학 생활에 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 서술형 답안 작성 교육이 필요하다. 이를 위해, 이 연구에서는 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들의 서술형 시험 답안을 형식과 내용 측면에서 분석하였다. 분석결과, 학습자들은 형식 측면에서 적절한 접속어와 담화 표지를 사용해 완성된 답안을 작성하는 데 어려움을 겪고 있었으나, 언어와표현을 적절하고 정확하게 사용하는 능력은 비교적 높았다. 내용 측면에서는 학습자들이 시험 문항을 제대로 이해하지 못하거나 문항의 요구 사항에 따라 풍부하게 답안을 구성하는 능력이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 서술형 시험 답안 작성교육의 개선 방향은 크게 세 가지로 제시하였다. 첫째, 장르와 결과 중심의 교육, 둘째, 내용 중심의 교육, 셋째, 다른 한국어 수업과연계한 시험 쓰기 교육이다.
Abstract
This study aims to assess the KAP learners’ ability to write descriptive test answers and suggest educational directions to improve them. KAP learners need to be educated in writing descriptive answers in order to study at university. To this end, this study analyzed the descriptive test answers written by KAP learners in terms of both format and content. The results of the analysis showed that KAP learners had difficulty in writing complete answers using appropriate connectives and discourse markers in terms of format. However, their ability to use language and expressions accurately was relatively high. In terms of content, KAP learners did not properly understand the test items and lacked the ability to organize answers according to the requirements of the test questions. Based on these results, three major directions for improving descriptive answer writing education were suggested. First, genre and result-centered education, second, content centered education, and third, test writing education linked to other Korean language classes.
