본 연구는 대학 교양교육과정 개편에 앞서 학생, 교원, 기업체의 통합 요구도 조사를 중점적으로 분석하고, 그 결과를 적용하여 D대학교의 교양교육과정을 개편한 결과이다. 교양교육과정 개편을 위해 선행되었던 연구도구는 학생의 경우 총 13항목, 교원의 경우 총 12항목, 기업체의 경우 총 5항목을 면밀히 수요조사 하였다. 그 결과, 첫째 교육목표의 경우 교원은 현재 설정된 교양교육목표가 미래사회의 변화에 학생들의 능력을 함양하는 데 더 적합하다고 인식한 반면, 기업체의 경우 개편 교육목표가 더 적합하다고 인식하였다. 둘째, 현재 교육과정 편성체계는 교원이 학생보다 더 적합하다고 인식하고 있으며, 기업체의 경우 ‘인성덕목 관련 영역’을 교육과정 편성 시 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 교육과정 이수체계에 대해 학생은 교양 필수 학점의 축소, 유연학사제도인‘집중이수제’를 선호하였다. 넷째, 핵심역량의 경우 ‘의사소통역량’을 가장 중요한 것으로 나타났으며, 기업체가 가장 높게 나타났다. 다섯째, 교양교육과정 개편 시 학생은 ‘공통교양 편성 및 이수체계’, 교원은‘교육목표’를 가장 고려해야 할 사항으로 나타났다. 기업체에 입사한 신입사원의 직업기초역량은 팀웍 능력, 리더십 역량, 고객서비스능력 등을 포함한 ‘대인관계역량’이 가장 높게 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 교양교육과정 개편 방향에 있어 어느 한 주체의 의견에편중되지 않고 반영하는 것이 매우 중요하다는 점을 시사한다. 또한 실제 교양교육과정 개편에 있어 D대학교의 경우, 통합 요구도 조사에서 도출된 결과를 체계적으로 반영하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.
Abstract
This study is the result of reorganizing the general education curriculum of D University by analyzing the integrated needs of students, teachers, and companies prior to the reorganization of the general education curriculum. The demand survey items that were preceded for the reform of the general education curriculum were carefully surveyed on a total of 13 items for students, 12 items for instructors, and 5 items for companies. The results are as follows: First, in the case of educational goals, teachers perceived that the currently set general education goals are more suitable for cultivating students' ability to change in the future society, whereas companies recognized that the reorganization educational goals are more appropriate. Second, teachers recognize that the current curriculum organization system is more suitable than students, and in the case of companies, it is founded that the areas related to personality virtues is most preferred when organizing the curriculum. Third, with regard to the curriculum completion system, students preferred the reduction of required credits for liberal arts and the intensive completion system, which is a flexible academic system. Fourth, in the case of core competencies, communication competency was found to be the most important, and it was highest in companies. Fifth, when reorganizing the general education curriculum, it was found that students would most likely consider the common general education organization and completion system and teachers would consider the educational goals. The interpersonal competency including teamwork ability, leadership ability, and customer service capabilities was the highest in the basic job competencies of new employees who joined a company. These results suggest that it is very important to reflect opinions without being biased in the direction of reform of the general education curriculum. In addition, in the case of D University in the actual reform of the general education curriculum, it is meaningful in that the results derived from the integrated demand survey were systematically reflected.
