본 논문은 시편 제4권의 표제가 시편의 흐름을 파악하는 해석학적 기능을 하고 있다는 관점에서 시편 90-106편의 구성과 신학적 메시지를살펴보았다. 본 논문은 시편 제4권이 단순히 “여호와가 왕이시다”를 강조하는 것이 아니라, 역경 속에서도 구원을 이루실 신실하신 여호와를의지하고 언약 백성으로서 완전한 길을 걸어갈 것을 강조 하는 것임을규명하였다. 시편 제4권은 여호와의 인자하심과 성실하심을 기초로 언약의 하나님께서 행하신 일들을 찬양한다. 언약의 하나님 여호와께서는 의와 공평으로 심판하시고, 다스리는 왕이시며, 인자하심으로 언약 백성을 구원하시는 신실하신 분이시다. 시편 90-100편과 시편 102-106편은 평행 구조로, 인자하신 여호와께서 심판의 하나님이요 구원의 하나님이시라는 사실에 주목한다. 시편 101편은 시편 4권의 중심에 위치하여, 시편 제4권에서 유일하게 여호와의 행하심에 대한 언약 백성의 태도를 제시하고 있다. 이런 구조와 흐름은 약속된 땅에서 쫓겨난 이스라엘 백성들이 다윗 언약의 실패로 보이는 상황에서 언약에 충실한 하나님을 기억하고 의지하게 하며, 앞으로의 심판과 구원을 주목하게 한다. 동시에 언약 백성으로서의 정체성을 깨닫고 고난 중에도 완전한 마음으로 완전한 길로 행해야한다는 것을 깨닫게 한다. 이러한 시편 제4권은 지금의 우리에게도 여호와의 종말론적인 심판과 구원을 바라보며 언약의 하나님을 신뢰하고 언약 백성으로서의 삶을 살아가야 함을 일깨워준다.
Abstract
This paper figure out the composition and theological message of Psalms 90-106 from the viewpoint that the title of Psalms Book IV has a hermeneutic function to grasp the flow of Psalms. This paper figure out that Book IV emphasizes relying on the faithful God who will bring redemption in the face of adversity, as well as walking in a perfect way as a covenant people, rather than “Jehovah is the king,” Psalms 90-100 and 102-106 are parallel structures, drawing attention to the fact that the merciful Jehovah is “the God of judgment” and “the God of salvation”. Psalm 101 is the center of Book IV and shows that the theme of Book IV is the attitude of the covenant people toward what Jehovah has done. This structure and flow of Book IV remind the people of exiled Israel in a situation where it appears that the David covenant has failed, to remember God’s faithfulness to the covenant and to pay attention to the judgment and salvation that will be given in the future. At the same time, this structure and flow makes them realize their identity as covenant people and that they must walk the “perfect way” with a “perfect heart” even in trouble. Book IV reminds us that we must live our lives as covenant people, trusting in the God of Covenant and anticipating Jehovah’s apocalyptic judgment and salvation.
