Abstract

The reappearance of the Japanese military "comfort women", which had disappeared from Korean narrative history for a long time, came to the surface again soon after the "comfort women" agreement in 2015. It is judged that there has been some transformation in content and expression for a short time. This transition can be summarized as a transition from trauma to post-trauma, from victim to survivor, and from sisterhood to joint solidarity. The movement of the representation of trauma from the reproduction of the trauma to the post-trauma was simultaneously accompanied by the desire to move the Japanese military "comfort women" from the "many" victims to survivors, activists, and colonial victims have. Most of all, as a popular film to be traced through genre grammar, later films reveal part of the post-colonial scars, but it is resolved within the framework of familiar nationalism and similar familyism, instead of questioning the responsibility of post-colonial countries.       As a self - representation of 'comfort women', testimony, memory and oral history are conflictual and constructive texts. The testimony invites us and urges us not to treat it as a historical fact or a fully integrated historical narrative, but to communicate with the voice of the other, with the unshakable voice. In the post-memory configuration, we must mediate the reflexive overcoming between traumatic memory and history. At this time, it is the politics of empathy based on the heterogeneous identification that acknowledges the difference between the self and the other, not the unity or the projective identity, that is required of the artist of the succeeding generation.
