본 연구는 산업연관분석을 이용하여 자율주행 셔틀서비스 산업을 분석한다. 각종 유발계수를 통해 경제적 파급효과를 분석하고, 2016년과 2019년의 결과를 이용한 구조적 분해 분석(structural decomposition analysis)을 통해 기술변화(technical change)에 의한 기여분을 식별함으로써 향후 자율주행 셔틀서비스의 상용화가 국민 경제에 미칠 영향에 대해 전망한다. 또한 자율주행 레벨 3 수준 대비 레벨 4~5 수준의 결과 비교를 통해 자율주행의 고도화가 국민 경제에 미칠 영향을 분석한다. 분석결과는 자율주행산업에 있어 자본에 의한 노동대체가 발생할 수 있으며, 자율주행 기술수준의 고도화는 고용증가가 예상되지만 노동생산성의 감소를 야기할 수 있음을 시사한다. 상용화시점이 지나치게 지연될 경우 경제 전체에 미치는 순효과는 부정적일 수 있으므로 상용화 지연에 따른 대비책을 마련할 필요가 있다. 다만, 아직 자율주행은 상용화 이전 단계이므로 본 연구의 결과는 제한적일 수 있으며, 후속연구로 보완될 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the autonomous driving shuttle service industry using Input-Output analysis. By analyzing economic spillover effects with various inducement coefficients and identifying contributions from technical changes through structural decomposition analysis using the results of 2016 and 2019 input-output tables, the realization of autonomous driving in the future is outlooked for its impact on the economy. In addition, by comparing the results of level 4 and 5 against level 3 of autonomous driving, the impact of the advancement of autonomous driving on the national economy will be analyzed. The analysis results suggest that labor substitution by capital may occur and deepen in the autonomous driving shuttle service industry, and that the advancement of autonomous driving technology level is expected to increase employment but may cause a decrease in labor productivity. If the timing of commercialization is excessively delayed, the net effect on the overall economy may be negative, so it is necessary to prepare countermeasures for delayed commercialization. However, since autonomous driving is still in the pre-commercialization stage, the results of this study may be limited, and it needs to be supplemented with follow-up studies.
