Abstract
This paper aims to review some civil law cases ruled by the Supreme Court of Korea in 2006. It does not purport to give an overview of all the civil law rulings, the number of which amount to more than 300 if we count only those published in Panrye-Kongbo [Court Decisions Official Gazette], but concentrates on 10 or more important decisions that attract its author’s special interest in terms of their impacts on the future court practices. So it must be called a “personal review”. In regard to the specific subjects that are dealt with in this paper, key words presented below may be referred to.
