감성지능과 자기 효능감의 관계에서 전통성과 현대성의 조절역할

본 연구는 감성지능, 자기효능감 그리고 가치관이라는 세 영역을 중심으로 한국 대학생의 상황을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 가치관은 전통성과 현대성으로 측정하였고, 감성지능과 자기효능감간의 관계에서 이러한 가치관이 조절역할을 밝히고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 서울․인천․경기도, 충청도 등에서 총 443명의 대학생들에게 설문을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 감성지능은 자기효능감에 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 감성지능과 자기효능감간의 관계에서 전통성은 조절작용을 하지 못했다. 셋째, 감성지능과 자기효능감간의 관계에서 현대성은 정의 조절작용을 하였다. 본 연구결과는 감성지능이 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 주요한 요인이라는 것을 의미하며, 특히 이 과정에서 전통성은 조절작용을 하지 못하였으나 현대성은 정의 조절작용을 하는 등 가치관마다 조절작용이 다르다는 것을 시사해주고 있다. 대학생들의 효능감을 향상시키기 위해 감성지능을 제고시키기 위한 노력과 방안이 필요하며, 이어 감성지능의 영향력을 조절하는 가치관에 대한 분석을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 수집된 한국 대학생들의 정보들과 연구결과들은 한국대학생 이해에 대한 기초적인 데이터베이스를 구축할 수 있음은 물론, 앞으로의 연구에 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대 된다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to describe the circumstances of Korean University students in Emotional Intelligence, Self-Efficacy, and Values. Values are measured with Traditionality and Modernity. The moderator role of these values will be revealed in the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Self-Efficacy. For the study, 443 students from six regions of Korea(Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Chungcheongnam-do, Daejeon) participated in the survey with 7 scales (4 for Emotional Intelligence, 1 for Self-Efficacy, 2 for Values). The findings can be summarized as follows. First, the Emotional Intelligence is significantly related to Self-Efficacy. Second, the Traditionality doesn’t reveal a moderation effect in the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. Third, the Modernity reveals a moderation effect in the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Self-Efficacy. The result of this study: Emotional Intelligence is a major factor affecting self-efficacy, particularly Traditionality and Modernity has different role in this process. Efforts and measures are needed to improve Emotional Intelligence in order to develop the efficacy of college students, and then the analysis about the values that control the influence of Emotional Intelligence will be presented. With the results we expect to establish a basic psychological database to understand Koreans as well as to provide valuable suggestions and implications for the further studies.
