I have examined the prevalence of HBsAg and anti-HCV in blood donors at Kyungnam Blood Center on positive blood donors in Masan and Changwon area and the results were summarized as following. Among blood donors the prevalence of HBsAg in male(4.31%), female(2.77%) and anti-HCV in male(0.22%), female(0.06%), male was significantly higher than in female. Among 24 blood donors with HBsAg positive,ten(41.7%) were within normal within normal value (under 30IU/L), remained people were one each for 30-45IU/L, 46-64IU/L, over 65IU/L. HBsAg prevalence sera wre seven out of 47 family memgers of 24 positive blood donors and anti-HCV precalence sera was one out of 21 family members of eight positive blood donors by EIA method. Among seven with HBsAg positive, five were with HBsAg and one were anti-HCV directly infected by between mother to infant transmission and estimated and remainning tow with HBsAg positive was same with his spouse.
