Abstract
Tuberculosis still remains important causes of human disese in Korea. Mure rapid and accurate method for testing of Mycobacterial susceptibility to drugs are aquired to the care and treatment of the infected patient. Such technology, however, does not currently exist. We performed the susceptibility testing of mycobactria as method recommended by the National Commitee for Clinical Laboratory Standards. Two hundred cultures recovered from individual patients of clinics were used in this test. Middlebrook 7H10 agar supplemented with l0%(v/v) oleic acid-albumin- dextrosecatalase( OADC) and 0.5%(v/v) glycerol was used in susceptibility tests. Colonies from an Ogawa slant were inoculated by one drop from a 10-2 dilution of a MacFarland 1.0 in three spots on each quadrant. FolIowing inoculation, the plates were incubated at 35.C in 5% C02 condition for 3 weeks. The results were interpreted in three weeks of inoculation. The resistant rate were 26.0% to 1.0㎍/㎖ RMP, 20.0% to 0.2㎍/㎖ INH, 16.5% to 5.0㎍/㎖ ET A,12.5%,3.5% to 2.0㎍/㎖, 10.0/Lg/mQ SM,respectively. and 9.5% and 3.5% to 5.㎍/㎖and 10.0㎍/㎖ EMB 8.5% to 2.㎍/㎖ PAS, 3.5% to 30.0㎍/㎖ CS, 2.5%to 5.0㎍/㎖KM, 1.5% to 2.0㎍/㎖OFLX, respectively. In this study, the hightest resistant rate to drug was 26.0% to RMP, folIowing were20.0% to INH. The Iowest was 1.5% to OFLX. No one sample has resistance to all drugs tested in this study. And fouty-six % of M. tuberculosis were resistence to multi -drugs. This study demonstrates that mycobacteria have high resistence to the four most commonly used drugs as primary therapeutic agents.
