Abstract
This study constructed the VECM based on quarterly macroeconomic data from January 1990 to December 2015 and analyzed the Korean economy with the macroeconomic-indicators in the movement of the oil price variables included in the model. In order to secure the stability of the finance related time series, ADF and PP test were identified as most stable variables in the I(1) process, and the cointegration test was performed to confirm at least three cointegration equations. In the cointegration test, we analyzed long-run equilibrium variables, lnCPI and lnIVR, and this variable was analyzed by VECM. As a result, the CPI shows a negative correlation with oil price And the investment ratio showed positive(+) relationship with oil price. In addition, all negative reactions were observed in the impact response analysis. The main reason for this result is that the VAR model does not explain the variables in terms of the dynamics. The VECM provides a good explanation of the impact response of this error term and based on these results, business executives and government policy makers need to pay close attention to changes in macroeconomic indicators.
