우리사회가 직면한 가장 심각한 모순인 대량실업과 고용불안의 해소책을 찾아내려는 목적에서 급진주의 페미니즘과 사회주의 페미니즘의 노동개념을 고찰했다. 그 결과 경쟁의 소외노동에서 상생의 자유노동으로 변화시킬 가능성의 단초를발견할 수 있었다. 두 페미니즘 모두 성성(sexuality)의 생명에너지와 영성(spirituality)의 창조에너지를 온전히 회복하는 의식혁명과 정치혁명을 통해 인간의 모든 노동이 자타(自他)와 자연에 대한 배려와 보살핌의 생명활동으로, 자기표현과 자기실현의 창조활동으로, 그리고 자유의 영역이 우주로 확대되는 정치활동으로 전환되는 세계를 꿈꾼다. 그런데도 페미니즘이 사회변혁의 정치력을 상실하고 분리주의와 엘리트주의로 빠져든 것은 영성에 주목하기는 했으나 그에 대한이해가 미흡했기 때문이었다. 그러므로 본고는 가사노동 속에서 어느 정도 구현되어온 사랑과 배려, 생명과 창조의 여성주의 영성으로의 패러다임 전환이 전제되어야만 비로소 노예노동에서 자기와 하나 되는 기예노동, 타자와 하나 되는 통합노동, 자연과 하나 되는 자기완성의 자유노동으로의 구조변혁이 가능해질 것으로전망한다.
Abstract
This paper reviewed the concept of labor proposed by radical feminism and socialist feminism in order to find out a clue about how to dissolve the most serious labor contradictions of mass unemployment and job insecurity. As a result, it figured out that both radical feminism and socialist feminism have the same vision for the structural shift of labor from slaving to freedom. The two of them dream of the world in which all labor of the human is transformed into the vital activity of caring, the creative work of self-realization, and the political action of expanding their sphere of freedom to the cosmos. In spite of that, they failed in gaining the political hegemony for social change, because their lack of awareness of spirituality entrapped them into separatism and elitism. When all of us anchor off our innermost spirituality, through which any ruling powers can hold out no longer, then and only then, will we have the ability to see and actualize such a new feminist vision of craft labor, of holistic labor, and of free labor, thus reducing the working hours, overturning the set of labor value, and narrowing the wage gap.
