신뢰가 행복에 미치는 효과: 한국과 중국의 비교

초록

이 논문의 목적은 한국과 중국의 비교를 통해 신뢰가 행복에 미치는 효과를 분석하는 것이다. 세계가치관조사 제7차 자료를 이용하여 분석한 결과, 한국과 중국에서 내집단과 제도에 대한 신뢰가 행복에 미치는 공통적 효과가 확인되었다. 하지만 차이점도 발견된다. 내집단에 대한 신뢰가 사회적 환경 만족도에 미치는 효과는 한국에서 더 강하게 나타났으며, 제도에 대한 신뢰가 행복에 미치는 효과는 중국에서 더 강하게 나타났다. 이 논문에서는 신뢰구조의 측면에서 한국과 중국은 사적 신뢰와 공적 신뢰의 관계가 다르게 형성되어 있으므로 신뢰가 행복에 미치는 효과가 다르게 나타났다고 주장한다. 기존의 연구들은 집단주의적 가치관이 행복에 미치는 공통적 효과에 주로 초점을 두어 왔다. 이 논문은 국가 간 비교를 통해 집단주의 문화권 내부의 신뢰구조가 행복에 미치는 상이한 효과를 발견한 점에 의의가 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of trust on happiness by comparing Korea and China. As a result of analysis using the 7th data of the World Value Survey(WVS-7), the common effect of trust in in-groups and institutions on happiness was confirmed in Korea and China. However, differences are also found. The effect o f trust in t he in- groups o n social environmental s atisfaction was stronger in Korea, and the effect of trust in the institutions on happiness was stronger in China. This paper argues that Korea and China have different relationships between private and public trust, so the effect of trust on happiness is different. Existing studies have mainly focused on the common effects of collectivist values on happiness. This paper is significant in that it discovered the discriminatory effects of trust structures within the collectivist culture on happiness through comparison between countries.
