우리나라 공교육 제도에서 기독인교사에 의한 신앙교육 가능성에 관한 연구

Abstract

This study presupposes that christian teachers are always expected to strive to do their teaching ministries as witnesses of Christ in the field of public education. True christian teachers should do all their teaching works to glorify God (I Cor 10：31), to serve God and to take delight in Him (Ps. 5：11, 32：11). It is necessary for christian teachers to have concerns on the faith of their students. This study will discuss the possibilities of christian education in public school through christian teachers’ ministries. This study discusses the meaning of public education, public educational institution, the biblical grounds for christian education which involve the Cultural Mandate, the educational mandate based on Shema(Deut. 6：4­9), the fear of God and the Great Commission. The discussion of the possibility on christian education is based on the nature of christian teacher who has the role of prophet, king and priest. The activities of christian teachers in public school are suggested as follows; Club Activities, Prayer Meeting, Small Group Bible Study, Christian Teachers Meeting, Counseling, Worship Services, Special Activities, Festivals, Community Life Lesson, Conference, and Class on Religion. Suggestions in this study are as follows; to pray and to encourage the teaching ministries of christian teachers among church members, to guide the young persons to be christian teachers, to equip the students of college of education with the christian world and life view, to support christian clubs on the college campus, to lead parents to have concerns about the christian ministries in public school and to have prayer meetings and Bible study groups in public schools.
