소비자신뢰와 구매단계별 식품안전추구행동에 대한 연구

초록

삶의 질이 향상되면서 사람들의 안전에 대한 욕구는 무한히 증가하고 있으며, 식품안전의 확보를 위하여 국가 및 식품업체에서도 식품관련법제정, 시스템 구축 등의 다양한 노력을 하고 있다. 그러나 계속해서 발생하는 식품안전사건·사고로 인하여 소비자들의 식품안전에 대한 신뢰는 감소하고 있다. 식품의 섭취는 소비자들의 생명과 직접적으로 관련된 특성상 안전에서 나아가 안심하고 소비할 수 있도록 신뢰를 구축하는 것이 최근 더욱 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 소비자들의 식품안전추구행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 국가식품안전정책과 식품업체에 대한 소비자들의 신뢰를 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 조사대상은 성인소비자 502명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 분석을 위한 통계처리는 SPSS for Windows 18.0 Program을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, T-test, 일원분산분석(One-way ANOVA), Duncan's Multiple Range Test를 이용하여 사후검증을 실시하였고, 상관관계분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소비자들의 식품안전추구행동을 각 단계별로 살펴본 결과 구매 후 사용 단계 시 , 구매 시, 구매 전의 순으로 안전추구행동을 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국가식품안전제도에 대한 신뢰가 높을수록 각 단계별 식품안전추구행동을 많이 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 식품업체에 대한 신뢰는 식품안전추구행동에 유의한 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 우리나라의 식품안전을 위하여 국가의 식품안전정책, 식품업체의 안전경영 및 시스템구축, 그리고 소비자들의 안전추구행동이 상호유기적이어야 하며, 이를 보다 효과적으로 운용하는데에 소비자의 신뢰가 중요하게 작용하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Abstract

With growing quality of life, the demand for people’s safety is indefinitely increasing, and nations and food industries have diversely tried to enact food laws and construct systems in order to secure food safety. However, continuously occurring food safety incidents and accidents decrease consumers’ trust in food safety. By noticing the significance of constructing trust in food safety due to the nature of food and further for consumers to consume without anxiety, this study is conducted to examine factors influencing consumers’ food safety pursuit behaviors through their trust in national food safety policies and food industries. Data used in this study were collected from 502 adults. All the data were analyzed with the SPSS for Windows 18.0 Program in terms of frequency, percentage, means, standard deviations, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, according to the analysis of consumers’ food safety pursuit behaviors by stages, the behaviors were shown in the order of the post-purchase use stage, time of purchase, followed by the pre-purchase stage. The result shows that in terms of consumers’ perception of food hazards, highly perceived handling-related food hazards are linked to behaviors. Second, it is shown that the level of trust in national food safety policies directly affects consumers' food safety pursuit behaviors, where as the level of trust in food industries did not have a significant effect on food safety pursuit behaviors. The basic role of each nations, food industries, and consumers is to set a proper policies of food safety, to establish stable management and system, and to pursuit food safety behaviors, in order to ensure the food safety. According to the findings above, it is possible to seek for the method to construct a trustful food safety behaviors between three subject.
