식품업체 및 국가식품안전정책에 대한 소비자신뢰모형 분석

초록

식품안전에 대하여 소비자들은 객관적이고 정확한 평가를 내릴 수 있는 능력이 부족하기 때문에 식품안전은 소비자신뢰가 중요한 속성으로 작용한다. 소비자들의 신뢰를 얻는 것이 국가의 식품안전정책과 식품업체의 식품안전에 대한 노력과 더불어 중요한 과제임에 분명하기 때문에 식품안전정책의 실효성을 높이기 위해서 소비자신뢰의 변화에 민감하게 반응해야 한다. 이를 위해 우리나라의 식품안전정책과 식품업체에 대한 소비자신뢰의 구조적인 영향관계를 살펴보는 연구가 현시점에서 필요하다 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 소비자들의 일반적인 특성에 따라 식품위험인지와 식품안전정보탐색의 차이를 알아보고, 소비자들의 식품위험인지와 식품안전정보탐색을 통하여 식품업체에 대한 소비자들의 신뢰를 살펴보고자 한다. 더불어 소비자들의 식품위험인지와 식품안전정보탐색을 통한 식품업체 및 국가식품안전정책에 대한 소비자신뢰모형을 구조적으로 분석하여, 이를 바탕으로 우리나라 식품안전정책에 대한 신뢰구축방안을 모색하고자 하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 연구결과 소비자들은 식품위험에 대하여 인식할수록 식품안전정보탐색이 증가하였으며, 식품업체에 대한 신뢰는 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 소비자들의 식품안전정보탐색은 식품업체 신뢰와 국가식품안전정책신뢰에 정적인 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 즉, 소비자들의 식품위험인식, 식품업체와 국가식품안전정책에 대한 신뢰는 식품안전정보와 관련되어 있음을 본 연구를 통하여 확인하였다. 따라서 식품업체 및 국가식품안전정책에 대한 신뢰를 구축하기에 식품안전정보의 활용이 효과적일 것으로 사료되며, 이를 위하여 우리나라의 전반적인 식품안전정보를 아우르는 기관의 운영지원과 식품업체의 제공을 통하여 식품안전정보가 객관적이며 정확하고 시기적절하게 소비자들에게 손쉽게 전달되어 활용될 수 있도록 식품안전정보전달체계구축을 위한 노력이 시급하며, 이러한 노력은 소비자들의 신뢰를 바탕으로 국가식품안전정책의 실효성을 높이는데 크게 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

Abstract

Food safety is a policy problem that is being handled seriously all over the world. With growing quality of life, the demand for people’s safety is indefinitely increasing, and nations and food industries have diversely tried to enact food laws and construct systems in order to secure food safety. However, increasing food safety incidents and accidents decrease consumers’ trust in food safety. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to analyze the consumer trust model regarding food businesses and government food safety policies and to inquiries of food safety information and to find trust establishing measures based on these grounds. Research results show that food safety information is a variable which greatly influences trust in food businesses and government food safety policies. Therefore, it is thought that efforts for establishing an information delivery system which will allow accurate food safety information to be delivered to and applied by consumers and operational support concerning organizations that cover general food safety information in Korea will contribute to heightening consumer trust.
