본 논문은 폴 틸리히의 상관관계 방법론과 심리치료적 이론들을 통해서임상목회교육(Clinical Pastoral Education) 현장에서 만난 환자L을 다루는내용이다. 논문 전반부에서 종교와 심리학의 상관관계를 논하면서 한국전에참전했던 환자L의 이야기가 등장한다. 종교도 심리학도 인간내면의 문제를모두 해결해 주는 것은 아니지만 본 논문은 종교와 심리학의 대화를 통해서얻는 통찰의 중요성을 보여주고 있다. 결국 종교와 심리학의 대화를 통해서상관관계 방법론은 종교와 심리 양쪽 모두에게 해답과 문제가 있는 상관성을 제시해 준다. 이러한 상관성은 앞으로 목회상담의 기초에 중요한 토대가된다고 이해할 수 있다.
Abstract
This paper explores the essence of pastoral counseling in terms of Paul Tillich’s Correlational method. This study shows the beginning of the research on relationship in relation with religion and psychology, revealing the patient L’s story during Korean War. Neither religion can resolve all those conflicts within human mind, nor psychology can restore all the inner problem of the human psyche. However, if we can have conversation between these two different variables: religion and psychology, believing the possible existing of resolution and question on both sides. Accordingly, we can have creative/mutual conversation between religion and psychology, this will entail the foundation of pastoral counseling in the future.
