초록

종말론적 성전에 대한 예언을 담고 있는 에스겔서 40−48장에서드러나는 이방인(비−이스라엘인)에 대한 에스겔의 이해는 44:7−9절과47:22−23절을 비교해 볼 때 이중적인 것으로 보여진다. “rk'ªnE−ynE)B.”(44:7−9)와 “rG 혹은 ~yrIGE”(47:22−23)의 정체성은 에스겔서 내의 내적 증거(14:7,22:7, 29)와 제사장 문서에서 드러나는 외적 증거(창 17:12, 27; 출 12:43;레 22:25; 민 14−16, 35:15; 출 12:48; 레 17:8−16)를 통해 이해될 수 있다. 이를 통해 에스겔서는 이방인에 대하여 배타적(특수주의)인 태도를보여주는 것이 아니라 포로기 이후 다양한 구성원으로 새롭게 이루어진이스라엘 공동체의 현실을 반영하며 마음과 육체의 할례를 강조함으로종말론적 공동체의 새로운 가입 조건을 이방인들에게 제시한다. 에스겔서 40−48장은 포로기 이후 새로운 이스라엘 공동체의 구성원으로서할례 받은 이방인들을 포함하는 보편주의를 보여준다.
