에스겔 33장이 심판에서 회복의 메시지로의 전환점이라는 사실에 대해 학자들이 일반적으로 동의하는 바이다. 하지만 예루살렘 함락 이후 포로지에 전달되는 회복의 메시지는 과연 어떤 메시지일까? 학자들은 각자 다양한 의견으로 그 회복의 성격을 설명하였지만, 하나의 일치된 견해는 ‘여호와의 거룩한 이름’을 위한 회복(겔 36:21-33)이라는 점이다. 다른 한편으로, 에스겔서는 다양한 반복구를 사용하여 규칙적이고 잘 조직된 언어적 구조를 형성한 것으로 알려져 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 에스겔서의 회복의 메시지를 이해하는 데에 많은 학자들이 어려움을 호소해왔다. 왜냐하면 본문의 언어적인 장치와 정보를 적절히 해석해 내지 못했기 때문이다. 본 연구는 에스겔 33-39장의 본문-언어학적인 구조를 바탕으로, 화자-청자 분석(겔 33:21-33; 겔 37:15-28), 대명사의 변화와 활용(겔 34:1-31), 언어적 장치의 유사성 비교(겔 35:1-36:15), 반복구에 의한 단락 구분(겔 36:16-37:14), ‘호격’에 의한 언어적 구조(겔 38:1-39:29) 등 다양한 언어적 장치와 정보들을 분석하여 에스겔서의 회복의 메시지를 살펴보았다. 그 회복은 범죄하여도 무조건적인 용서를 베푸는 여호와와 이스라엘과의 개별적인 사건을 말하는 것이 아니라, 온 세상을 향한 ‘여호와의 이름’을 회복하는 하나의 프로그램이였다는 사실을 깨닫게 한다. 그리고 그 프로그램은 세상의 회복에 ‘열심’을 가진 여호와를 경험하고 드러내는 기회였다는 사실을 깨닫게 한다.
Abstract
Scholars generally agree that Ezek 33 is a turning-point from the message of judgment to restoration. But what kind of message did Ezekiel proclaim to the captives after the fall of Jerusalem? While scholars have various opinions on the characteristic of the restoration, one consensus is that it is a restoration for ‘the holy name of YHWH’ (Ezek 36:21-33). On the other hand, the Book of Ezekiel is known to have formed a regular and well-organized linguistic structure by using various repetitive phrases. Nevertheless, many scholars have complained of difficulty in understanding the message of restoration in the Book of Ezekiel. This is because the linguistic devices and information in the text could not be properly interpreted. Based on the text-linguistic structure of Ezek 33-39, this study examines the message of restoration in the Book of Ezekiel by analyzing various linguistic devices and information, such as participants analysis (Ezek 33:21-33; Ezek 37:15-28), change and utilization of pronouns (Ezek 34:1-31), comparison of similarities in linguistic devices (Ezek 35:1-36:15), paragraph division by repetitive phrases (Ezek 36:16-37:14), linguistic structure by ‘vocative’ (Ezek 38:1-39:29). The restoration is not about an individual affair between YHWH and Israel, but about a retorative program for ‘the name of YHWH’ toward the whole world. And it is also about a special experience with YHWH who is passionate about the recovery of the world.
