본 연구는 영적 돌봄과 전인적 치유를 지향하는 기독교 병원 원목실이 번아웃 증후군(Burnout Syndrome)과 조용한 퇴사 (Quiet Quitting)현상을 경험하는 MZ세대 교직원들을 돌보기 위한 새로운 사역 모델의 이론적 토대 구축을 시도한다. 과학기술 발달과 최첨단 의료기술로 비약적인 발전을 이룩한 기독교 종합병원에서 근대사회의 보편적인 사회 문제가 감지되는 원인을 인간 소외와 파편화로 분석하며, 근대적 세계관이 추동하는 외연과 내면의 분리와 파편화를 극복하는 기독교 영성적 접근으로 파커 팔머의 전인적 인간이해와 내면 탐구를 제시한다. 파커 팔머의 영성교육 이론에 기초한 ‘마음의 씨앗 (the Circle of Trust)’ 프로그램을 토대로, 목회적 상황에 최적화된 힐링캠프를 교직원 영적 돌봄 사역의 모델로 실행하고, 그 신학적 토대와 구조화를 소개한다. 힐링캠프에 참여한 80명 교직원이 작성한 설문조사를 분석하여, 새로운 영적 돌봄 사역이 교직원들의 심리정서적 안정감, 직장에 대한 소속감과 공동체성 함양에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤는지를 파악한다. 이를 통해, 현대인들이 일반적으로 경험하는 자아 분열과 소외, 파편화의 위험으로부터 구성원을 보호하고, 치유와 회복의 경험을 통해 소명의식을 고취시키는 기독교 병원 원목실의 영적 돌봄 사역의 지속가능성을 증명하고자 시도한다.
Abstract
This study attempts to build a theoretical foundation for a new ministry model for a Christian hospital chaplaincy that aims for spiritual care and holistic healing to care for Generation MZ staff members who experience burnout syndrome and Quiet Quitting. Analyzing human alienation and fragmentation as the cause of the perceived universal sociopathology of the modern world in Christian hospitals that have made leaps and bounds in technological development and cutting-edge medical technology, this paper presents Parker Palmer’s holistic inner exploration as a Christian spirituality approach that overcomes the separation and fragmentation of the outer and inner worlds promoted by the modern worldview. Based on the “the Circle of Trust” program, which is based on Parker Palmer’s theory of spiritual education, this paper introduces the theological foundation and structure of “the Healing Camp” as a model of spiritual care ministry optimized for pastoral situations. By analyzing the questionnaires completed by 80 members who participated in the healing camp, this study identifies whether the new spiritual care ministry had a significant impact on faculty members’ psychological and emotional stability, belonging to the workplace, and fostering community. In doing so, it attempts to demonstrate the sustainability of the spiritual care ministry of a Christian hospital chaplaincy that protects its members from the dangers of self-division, alienation, and fragmentation that are common in contemporary life, and inspires a sense of vocation through experiences of healing and restoration.
