이청준의 1960년대 소설 연구박 은 태이 논문은 이청준의 1960년대 소설들을 분석한 글이다. 60년대를 만든 사건은 4·19였다. 이 사회운동이 추동한 이념은 ‘자유’였다. 그리고 이 ‘자유의 이념’은 60년대 소설을 이끈 추동력이었다. 아마도 60년대 소설가 중에서도 이 ‘자유의 이념’을 소설적으로 가장 구체화시킨 작가 중의 하나가 이청준일 것이다. 이청준의 소설에서 이 ‘자유의 이념’은 ‘자기 진실의 세계’라는 옷을 입고 있다. 그리고 이 세계에 대한 소설적 탐색은 그의 작가적 경향 전체를 통해 유지된다. 이청준의 60년대 소설들은 바로 이 ‘자기 진실의 세계’에 형태와 내용을 만들어가는 작업들이었다. 이청준이 등단작인 <퇴원>을 통해, 자신을 잃어버린 인물이 자신의 ‘자아’를 찾기 위한 몸짓을 그리고 있는 것은 우연이 아니다. 좀 단순화해서 말한다면, 이청준의 60년대 소설들은 이 <퇴원>의 인물이 ‘자아’를 찾아가는 과정이라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 이청준의 이런 ‘자아 찾기’를 이 논문에서는 ‘자기 진실의 세계’의 형성 과정이라고 하였다. ‘장인적 질서’에 기반한 자기 완결적 구조를 가진 자기 진실의 세계에서, ‘관계적 구조’로써의 자기 진실의 세계로 이청준의 60년대 소설들은 전개된다. 그리고 이런 ‘자기 진실의 세계’의 구축과 형성 과정은, 바로 4·19의 배반 과정이었던, 개발과 독재의 60년대 현실에 대한 이청준의 소설적 저항이기도 했다. 이청준의 이후 7·80년대 소설들은 바로 이러한 60년대 소설에서 천착된 ‘자기 진실의 세계’가 주제론적으로 확장되고 심화된 것들이다. 그런 면에서 이청준의 작가적 경향 전체를 이해하기 위해서도, 그의 1960년대 초기 소설들이 가진 전체적 윤곽을 그려보는 것은 의미 있는 작업이라고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
The Study of 1960's Novels of Lee Chung jun Park Eun TaeThis thesis is the analysis of 1960's novels by Lee Chung jun. The 4·19 democratic revolution was the important accident in 60's. It was liberty that led to the social movement. Also, the idea of liberty was the drive of the 60's novels.Lee Chung jun could be one of the novelists in 1960's who specified the idea of liberty most. The idea was wore with the world of one's own sincerity in his novels. And the novel inquiry about the world is shown by his disposition throughly. His novels of 1960's was just the works which made the form and the meaning of one's own sincerity. It was not accidental that he described the person who lost himself tries to find out his ego through the work, Leaving the hospital, with which he took the platform to be a novelist. Simply speaking, his novels at that time could be called the process of a character's in this novel finding himself. Lee Chung jun, he said that this finding oneself meant the process of forming one's own sincerity in his novels. His novels of 60's are developed from the world of one's own sincerity having his structure of perfection based on the order of artisan to the world of that having relational structure. And the process was just his resistance to the development and the dictatorship in 60's by novels. The novels of 70-80's were expanded and deepen thematically in the world of one's own sincerity, which had been the inquiry of the novels in 60's. In the sense, to figure out the general disposition of Lee Chung jun as a novelist, it is meaningful that we outline his early novels in 60's generally.
