한국과 중국의 통신 언어 호칭어 ‘님’과 ‘亲’(친)의 쓰임

이 논문은 한국과 중국의 통신 언어 호칭어 ‘님’과 ‘亲’(친)의 쓰임과 기능을 비교하는 것이 목적이다. 구체적으로 두루 높임 호칭어로 쓰이는 두 말의 사용 실태를 분석하고, 공통점과 차이점을 밝히고자 한다. 이러한 논의 과정을 통해, 한국과 중국 누리꾼들이 인터넷 공간에서 비슷한 의미 기능의 새말 호칭어를 만들어 쓰는 점, 인터넷 통신 언어가 한국어뿐만 아니라 다른 언어에도 존재하는 보편적 현상임을 확인할 수 있다. 한국어 ‘님’은 통신 공간에서 두루 높임 기능을 띠고 활발히 쓰인다. 일상어에서 ‘님’은 접미사로 주로 쓰이고, 의존명사로서의 쓰임이 적었으나 통신 언어에서는 의존명사 및 대명사로서의 용법이 크게 늘었다. 중국어 ‘친’은 인터넷에서 아주 최근에 쓰이게 된 호칭어이다. 한자 ‘친’은 일상어에서 ‘사이가 좋다’, ‘가깝다’, ‘친하다’와 같은 뜻을 가진 말이었으나 통신 공간에서 그것은 ‘접미사, 의존명사, 대명사’로서의 기능을 가진 두루 높임 호칭어로도 쓰인다. ‘친’은 중국 누리꾼들이 만들어 낸 새로운 호칭 형식으로, 한국어의 ‘님’과 아주 유사한 기능을 갖고 있다.
Abstract
This paper's purpose is a comparison of usages and functions between Korean 'nim'(님) and Chinese 'qin'(亲) as the terms of address on the internet. The commonalities and differences in usages of the two words as netlanguage will be analyzed concretely. Through these processes, we could identify the use of the new words created with similar meaning by Korean and Chinese netizens on the internet. The results of analysis are as follows. Korean honorific form 'nim' is actively used as for addressees vary in one's age and social rank. If they have some intent to honor other person, all of the words which refer persons are written with 'nim' together. In everyday language 'nim' is mostly used as the suffix, however on the internet the usages of formal noun and pronoun have increased a lot. Chinese 'qin' is used very recently on the internet. In everyday language 'qin' has the meanings of 'have a good relationship', 'near', 'close', etc. However, in the cyberspace 'qin' is used as suffix, formal noun, and pronoun with addressing functions. It is a new term of address made by Chinese netizens, and which has the similar functions with Korean 'nim.'
