공모(公募)의 메커니즘과 민중적 글쓰기의 윤리 -『신동아』 논픽션 공모를 중심으로-

Abstract

This study that pays attention to the people’s writing in the era omitted by the existing researches under the theme of the people, people’s literature, and people’s writing, handles the pre-history of people’s writing in the 1980s discussed by the existing researches. The <Shin Donga> reissued in 1964 was a place for the critical intellectuals of the time to form discourses. Especially, the nonfiction contest ambitiously prepared by the reissued <Shin Donga> made the people of the time who were not familiar with the concept of ‘the people’ learn about the perception of the concept of ‘the people’ as a collective and emotional subject, by using the differentiation of nonfiction as a genre and the systematic characteristics of contest. As it also made them perform the writing in the public form by noticing the social demands, eventually, the ethics and norms required for the ‘people’s writing’ were formed. Furthermore, it also played a role to suggest the identity and role of the ‘people’ reflecting the social demands in relation to the exemplary look of ‘the people’. Like this, the work of discovering and visualizing the people who were the main character of the 1980s which was called the age of the people was performed in the 1960s~1970s. In the center of it, there was the nonfiction contest of <Shin Donga>.
