이 연구는 파롤의 측면에서 문학적 문체의 특징을 살펴봄으로써 랑그 중심 연구사의 결락을 채우려는 시도의 일환이다. 근대의 문인들이 공적인 영역에서 시대문체를 발전시키려는 노력을 보여준 것은 주지의 사실이다. 그러나 당시에도 이미 이태준과 박태원은 문학적 문체를 추구한 흔적을 보여준 바 있다. 이 연구는 이들의 문체의식이 드러난 평문을 주 대상으로 검토한다. 그 결과, 이 연구는 이들의 문학적 문체의식에서 공통적으로 발견되는 특징을 세 가지로 정리하였다. 개성, 새로움, 탁월성이다. 이 세 가지 특징은 결국 다른 여타의 문체들과 비교했을 때 타인과 자신을 구별하게 해줌으로써 미적 정체성을 확보해가는 방식으로 문학적 문체를 랑그로부터 분화시킨다는 점에서 유사한 작동 원리를 가진다. 이 연구는 조선어 랑그에서 문학적 문체로의 분화에 의미를 부여하고, 문학사에서 문체 연구의 외연을 확장했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 궁극적으로는 근대소설이 예술적 자율성을 획득해가는 과정에서 미적인 것으로서의 문학적 문체를 호명하는 과정을 추적하는 데 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of literary style from the aspect of parol. Therefore, this study is part of an attempt to fill in the gaps in the history of langue-centered research. It is a well-known fact that modern writers have shown efforts to develop the writing style of the times in the public sphere. However, there are also writers who have pursued differentiation into a literary style that transcends langue. Examples include several reviews by Lee Taejun and Park Taewon. This study summarizes three common characteristics of their literary style. Individuality, Newness, Excellence[arete]. These three characteristics ultimately differentiate oneself from others when compared to other writing styles. They position literary style in a way that secures aesthetic identity through it. Therefore, they have similar operating principles. Therefore, this study is significant in that it not only gives meaning to the differentiation of literary styles in the history of literature, but also expands the scope of style research. Modern novels call for literary styles as aesthetics in the process of acquiring aesthetic autonomy. Ultimately, I hope to be able to contribute to tracking that process.
