본 연구의 목적은 전통 덕(목)교육의 이해를 통해 현행 도덕과(덕목)교육의 문제점과 보완점을 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 덕목의 본질적 의미와 속성 그리고 역사성을 이해하고, 덕목교육이 전통 덕(목)교육에 토대를 두어야 함을 규명하였다. 전통 덕(목)교육적 관점에 비추어 볼 때, 현행 도덕과 교육은 덕목(교육)의 역사성이 배제된 교육이었다고 볼 수 있다. 전통 덕(목)교육은 예 교육으로 구체화되며, 예 교육은 근본정신(경례)과 실천적 행위(곡례)의 통합적 접근이었다. 따라서 덕목교육의 본질적 의미에 충실한 덕목교육이 되려면 덕목(교육)의 역사성에 기초해야 하며, 그것은 전통적인 예 교육을 고려하는 것이 되어야 할 것이다
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to view some problems and complements of the 7th curriculum of elementary moral education through understanding of traditional virtues education. In other to explore this study, I probed the essential meaning, attribute, historicity of virtues and elucidated that the elementary moral education should be founded on the traditional virtues education. The 7th curriculum of elementary moral education is all but excluded from the historic tradition of virtues. The traditional virtues education is specified traditional decorums , Li Ji education( 禮記敎育). This education is the approach integrated with the essential spirit (jing-li :敬禮)and practical behavior(qi-li: 曲禮). Therefore, Virtues education of the elementary moral education in itself should be founded on the historical tradition of virtues and consider the traditional virtues education, that is, the traditional decorums education.
