Abstract
A happy child not only responds wisely to the negative events of daily life but also enjoys the pleasure and joy of life while fully savoring positive emotional experiences. However, we did not show enough educational interests in how to savor positive emotional experiences. Rather, we concentrated our educational efforts only on the way we control and deal with negative emotions. In this paper, I examined the rationale for the types & functions of positive emotions and savoring as regulation of positive emotions, and did suggest effective ways to utilize savoring strategies in moral education. These methods are very helpful in solving the problems of current elementary moral education which suffers from both a bias of negative emotion regulation and a bias of thinking and judgment-centeredness.
