Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of distributive and procedural justice on job satisfaction. intent to stay and organizational commitment among local public officials. For this study, four competing hypotheses involving the relationship bewtween organizational justice and local public officials's job attitudes were derived on the bases of the two-factor model, cultural model, gender moderation effect model and interaction model. The samples of this study consisted of 371 local public officials from 4 Gu-Offices in D Metropolitan City. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using hierarchical regression technique. The results of this study showed that distributive justice had more important effects on local public officials' job satisfaction, intent to stay and organizational commitment than procedural justice and that distributive justice was more strongly related to local public officials' three job attitudes when procedural justice was high than when it was low. The theoretical and practical implications of this research were discussed and directions for future research were advanced.
