초등학생 인성교육을 위한 교육용 AI의 도덕교육 적용 가능성 탐색: 실용성과 윤리적 고려 사항

초록

증강현실(AR), 가상현실(VR), 사물인터넷(IoT), 챗봇(Chatbot) 등의 AI 기술 발전은 기존 교육현장의 제약을 극복하게 한다. 인간 교사의 보조 도구를 넘어 인간 교사의 한계를 극복한 AI 교사의 등장 또한 예견된다. 한편, AIEd 시대 교육현장에서 인간의 고유성 및 존엄성이 중요하게 거론되며 인성교육의 필요성이 부각된다. AI 기술 발전이 인간 교사를 대신하는 역할로의 발전을 완전히 배제할 수 없는 현실에서 AI 교사라는 도전이 갖는 윤리적 문제를 인식할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 AI 기반 인성교육의 가능성과 한계를 탐구함으로써 학교 현장에서 급속히 확산되고 있는 AI 기술의 인성교육에의 적용 가능성을 가늠하고자 했다. 이를 위해 첫째, 교육에서 AI 활용의 현황을 확인했다. 둘째, AI 시대 인성교육의 필요성, 인성교육의 핵심 교육 요소, AIEd 인성교육 적용 사례를 살펴보았다. 셋째, AIEd의 윤리적 고려 사항을 추출하였다. 넷째, 초등학교 도덕교육현장에서 AIEd 인성교육 적용을 위한 방안의 가능성과 한계를 논의하였다.

Abstract

The development of AI technologies such as AR, VR, IoT, and Chatbots are helping to overcome the limitations of existing education sites. The emergence of AI teachers is also predicted. In the educational field in the AIEd era, the uniqueness and dignity of human beings are important. Character education is presented as one of the most essential education required in the AI era. It is a reality that the development of AI technology cannot completely rule out the development of a role that takes the place of human teachers. It is necessary to recognize and review the ethical issues of the challenge of being an AI teacher. To this end, first, I confirmed the current state of AI use in education. Second, core educational elements of character education, and examples of the application of AIEd character education were examined. Third, I extracted the ethical considerations of AIEd. Fourth, the possibilities and limitations of the educational plan for the application of AIEd in the moral education field were discussed.
