본 연구는 젠더 갈등의 논쟁적 주제 학습을 위한 기초 탐색을 목적으로, 재학 중인 8명의 대학생을 인터뷰하여 젠더 갈등에 관한 인식과 경험을 확인하였다. 그 결과, 청년 젠더 갈등의 중심 사건에 대한 구별된 응답 유형, 젠더 갈등의 타자화와 일반화에 대한 성별 차이가 나타났다. 참여자들은 젠더 갈등이 민감한 문제이지만 대학 교육에서 해당 문제를 적극적으로 다룰 필요가 있다고 생각했으며, 이전 학교 교육에서 페미니즘 사상에 대한 학습이나 논쟁적 주제 학습에 대한 경험이 없음을 보고했다. 논쟁적 주제 학습을 위해서는 젠더 갈등의 중심 문제가 무엇인지에 관한 초점화가 필요한 것으로 해석된다.
Abstract
This study investigated the young’s experiences on gender conflict by interviewing 8 undergraduates as a basic exploring for learning the controversial issues of gender conflicts. Among the participants, There were two distinct responses to the central event that comes to mind when it comes to youth gender conflict, and gender differences in the othering and generalization of gender conflicts. Participants thought that gender conflict is a sensitive issue, but they needed to deal with it in university education, and reported that they had no experience of learning feminism or learning controversial topics in previous school education. It is interpreted that for learning controversial issues, it is necessary to focus on what the problem of gender conflict is.
